The program concluded with an investor engagement event, offering direct exposure to potential funders.

The programme will support their growth through expert mentorship, strategic advice and investor connections, fostering job creation and climate action.

Accelerator

The first cohort of the Ethiopian Business Building Accelerator brings together seven ambitious Ethiopian startups across agri-processing machinery, construction equipment, e-commerce, food production and sustainable packaging and paper. Over the course of three months, the founders have benefitted from mentorship, hands-on advisory, and investor exposure to help them scale their business and enable job creation.

Tanzania

January 2026

The inaugural GBB Accelerator in Tanzania will work with six high-potential companies advancing sustainable production across key sectors of the economy. The cohort spans recycling solutions, clean cooking technologies, aquaculture systems, nutritious baby foods, organic fertilizers, and sunflower oil processing. Through tailored mentorship, strategic guidance, and access to investors, the accelerator aims to help these businesses scale their impact—supporting inclusive job creation while contributing to climate resilience and food security.
