Description
The report assesses the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies in Kenya’s manufacturing sector to provide factory executives, industrial investors, and economic policymakers with a practical roadmap for accelerating operational competitiveness. Kenya currently operates as a net importer with manufacturing contributing just 7% to GDP, below peer nations, due to lower plant productivity and scale. To bridge these competitiveness gaps, the study evaluated 13 local factories, identifying a potential 20% EBITDA uplift across participating plants. The findings demonstrate that over 80% of this total impact can be captured with minimal to no capex using digital solutions.
